4. Competitors who are not ready to perform when called upon to do so may be disqualified. 5. The decisions of the jury are final. Any competitor who makes an attempt, or on whose behalf an attempt is made, to communicate with an adjudicator may be disqualified. 6. In each category prizes will be awarded primarily on the quality of performances during the finals. However the jury will also consider the quality of performances from the semifinal rounds in making their decision. Performances from the first round recordings will not be considered. 7. Rights in any Competition performance, recordings or films, belong to the Competition and no fee is payable to any competitor on account of these performances or any recordings or broadcasts of them. 8. Concert dress is required for participation in both semifinal and final stages. 9. Official accompanists will be available for the semifinal rounds, though competitors may choose to perform with their own accompanists. ENTRANCE RECORDING Entrance Fee Applications 2. Proof of age : A photocopy of the applicant’s birth certificate or passport must be enclosed as evidence of date of birth 3. Recording of the complete chosen concerto on either DVD or VHS Video. 4. Entry Fee of £50 (cheques should be payable to ‘Chetham’s School of Music’) 5. Two references from musicians of standing, one of which must declare that the recorded performance is genuine and unedited. |
