Second Prize: £500

Third Prize: £300

Semi-finalists will receive prizes of £100 each

In addition there are special prizes, to be awarded at the jury’s discretion, of

£500, £300 and £200 for the best performances from candidates aged 16 or under.

There are also prizes of encouragement (£60 each). These are awarded at the discretion of the jury to promising performers who are unsuccessful in reaching the semi final stage.

The winner of the competition will be offered a series of engagements and the opportunity to record a recital for CD.  All finalists will be offered full scholarships to attend the 2012 Chetham’s International Summer School and Festival for Pianists.  In addition, it is hoped that there will be recital opportunities for the remaining finalists and also for some of the semi finalists.
